Patrick (Pat) T. Loughman has served as managing partner of Lowthorp Richards since 2009. His practice areas include real property law, business law, and trust and estate planning. He represents agricultural clients in real estate sales, leases, partnerships, and corporate law matters.
Pat is an AV-rated attorney, the highest rating possible from the only national peer review rating service for attorneys. He has expertise in creditor rights and work-out strategies involving receivers and foreclosures and maintains a continuous practice in probate and trust administration, including litigation of estate disputes. His practice has included mobile home park subdivision conversion in Camarillo, several large ranch sale transactions, and he has directed and overseen large corporation dissolutions.
An active community volunteer, Pat serves on the board of CREW, an organization dedicated to maintaining the back country trails of the Central Coast while providing employment and work experience for youth. He is on the board of Regents for Thomas Aquinas College and a longtime member of the Rancheros Adolfo.
Pat also serves on the board of directors for CoLAB, Ventura County. CoLAB is a non-profit membership organization that was formed to support land based and industrial businesses. CoLAB identifies and researches issues that impact business, works with regulatory agencies, organizes stakeholders, and proposes solutions.
He previously served on the boards of the Rotary Club, Knights of Columbus Adolfo Camarillo Council, Ventura County Life Centers, and Camarillo Boys and Girls Club. He is also the former co-chairman of the bankruptcy/commercial law section of the Ventura County Bar Association.
A 1978 graduate of Loyola Marymount University, Pat received his law degree from Loyola Law School in 1982 and was admitted to the California Bar. He joined Lowthorp Richards in 1983.
A lifelong Ventura County resident, Pat resides in Ojai with his wife, Michele, and their children.
